Jalapeño Lime Salted Margarita

This Jalapeño Lime Salted Margarita recipe with Keep It Savory Salt Co salt is perfect for summer days, Taco Tuesdays, and after that long day at work.

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 teaspoon Jalapeño Lime Salt (or Mediterranean Citrus Salt!)
  • 1/4 jalapeño pepper, sliced thin
  • 1 ounce blanco tequila (or mezcal!)
  • 1 ounce orange liqueur
  • 1 ounce fresh lime juice, plus wedge
  • 1/2 ounce agave or simple syrup
DIRECTIONS
    1. Mortar/pestle salt to desired grain size and place on small plate. Rub lime wedge around the edge or a rocks glass. Roll the glass edge in salt to coat the rim.
    2. Fill glass with ice.
    3. Muddle 2-3 jalapeño slices in a cocktail shaker.
    4. Add tequila, orange liqueur, lime juice, agave nectar, and a scoop of ice. Cover and shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds.
    5. Taste and adjust proportions to preference.
    6. Strain into prepared glass.
    7. Garnish with jalapeño slices, lime wedge, and serve.
